Obesity and mental illness are major health issues that affect millions of people and the link between them is often misunderstood. Join the Canadian Obesity Network-Réseau canadien en obésité, the International Association for the Study of Obesity and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health for this innovative three-day workshop. Designed to provide practical guidance for all health professionals as well as to identify research priorities, this Hot Topic Conference is a one-of-a kind opportunity to understand what can be done when mental illness and obesity overlap.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • To provide participants with a sound understanding of the scientific and methodological issues in obesity and mental illness research and practice.
  • To build participants knowledge and understanding in the areas of
